Australian Marine Turtle Bi-annual Symposium

The first Australian Marine Turtle bi-annual Symposium will be held in Buderim on the week-end of 14th – 16th September. This exciting event will be hosted by members of Turtle Care Volunteers Qld Inc. and will feature an exciting program showcasing and comparing existing science and management initiatives from all around Australia and New Guinea.

The Conference will cover 2 days. Each day will comprise a keynote address plus 5 or 10 minute community or research presentations. Plus we will present a panel discussion on satellite telemetry and bio-logging.

This is a not to be missed opportunity for the many volunteer groups from all over Australia, working on beaches to protect marine turtles and their habitats, to get together and share their experiences.
